Tourist at Home

The last couple of days have been jammed pack playing tourist at home with family visiting from the east coast from the first time! In spite of the incredible beach traffic which resembled a parking lot at times, we had a great time and are grateful that we were able to be able to show them (and ourselves) so much of the diversity of the Los Angeles area in two days. We hit Venice Beach, Leo Carillo Beach, Griffith Park Observatory, Mulholland Drive, the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, drove down Rodeo Drive, and through some of the canyons, and even had a celebrity encounter with Camryn Manheim, from "Ghost Whisperer". Michael Jackson's star and the surrounding area was filled with candles and flowers and cards and of course, CROWDS! There were plenty of costumed characters and it was appropriately theatrical everywhere we went!
