Sunday Best

A short 20 or 25 minute drive from our home is a wonderful nature reserve with hiking trails throughout. There are a multitude of grasses, wildflowers, critters, and beautiful views to experience here. We didn't even discover it until we'd lived in the area for over 10 years, but one April day last year we took a Sunday afternoon drive out to explore with the girls and our dog. It was a perfect day---not too hot or cold, lots to see, and plenty to snack on! One of those days you want to relive. Thankfully we were able to get lots of great photos to document the day and we have relived it several times while looking at our photos.

I love creating beautiful things, may they be cards from photos that I've manipulated or choreography using my ballet students and/or professional dancers. There are a few avenues I've yet to explore (and I still look forward to doing so), but I've been on a lifelong path of expressing myself through artful means. My greatest joy, however, is creating a life with my husband and two daughters. We are so fortunate to live in an area of the country that is abundant and diverse in natural beauty and to have a lifestyle that enables us to enjoy some of this abundance.

"Sunday Best" is my way of sharing with you snapshots (literally and figuratively) of my family and our experiences together. I hope you enjoy this window into our lives!
